Re: Taiga's 7
There's probably a good reason why manufacturers want you to flush the cooling system through periodically  That's shocking. Like the gold manifold, should be a good statement piece when you open the bonnet. Hood, sorry Right?! The previous owner seems to have put in some stop leak as well. ...

Re: Taiga's 7
Finally got the engine out of that backyard and into my makeshift shop! http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/ab226/thewall1324/20150105_185028_zpsf0c4e7f8.jpg http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/ab226/thewall1324/20150105_191956_zps37160f6c.jpg http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/ab226/thewall1324/20150...

Re: Taiga's 7
Did some more work on the donor mustang. The engine is now completely out and we managed not to hit the other mustang next to it lol. The only problem is, it keeps sinking into the grass. We've tried laying plywood down as well and still no luck. So, it is still there. I'm pretty sure every gasket i...

I also realized I never said steering gearbox, so that's my fault lol.

Re: Taiga's 7
Oh no, not confusing. I just found it odd that you felt the need to correct me. I thought you may have been confused. Thanks none the lessian65 wrote:Yeah, in the UK we call the steering box, the steering box and the gearbox, the gearbox....sorry if it's confusing

Re: Taiga's 7
If by the gearbox you mean the steering box, then that won't be the source of the movement in your steering column. If the shaft was pulling out of the box by an inch, you wouldn't have any steering. Sounds like the collapsible steering column has , well, collapsed for want of a better description....

Re: Taiga's 7
Got some work done the past couple days. The steering wheel would pull toward me and back almost an inch. So I figured since I have everything else apart that I would have the gear box rebuilt. Started tearing apart the suspension and realized the gsl-se uses the rotor as the hub...if that makes sen...

Re: Taiga's 7
I've owned 2 of those late-'80s Ford 5.0L H.O.s, and both gave me fits, but both pulled decently well when they were in the mood, or when the stars aligned. Whatever the case, the heads aren't any fun to port, but respond well, and can equal World Windsor Juniors for 1/2 the investment. I did some ...

Re: Taiga's 7
Okay, so I've been pretty busy with life and school. I have barely even touched the car nor have I spent any money on it :(. Since it was black Friday I kind of splurged on this guy. Isn't really the color I like, but it was such a great deal and plays very well. http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/a...

Re: Taiga's 7
I liked the idea of high-build filler primer, until it tripled the rate at which I went through sandpaper. So I switched to a sealer primer, much better all around. Nice results, less aggravation. Finished mine with 400-grit as my painter guy instructed. I wet sand with 400 before I lay down anythi...
