Re: Elfords big brother
It was built with the water injection and both nozzles were there right from the beginning. The fuel pressure is the same as it always was. If it was any higher the carburetor would get flooded anyways. BUUUUT I've read the turbo conversion manual from 1982 again and it seems like the water methanol...

Re: Elfords big brother
Habs gelesen, danke. th: Over the last week I tried to learn how and when the distributor advances the timing and I think I finally got it. What I'm going to do now is to open up the distributor and weld a small part of the shaft slots of the weights for the mechanical advance shut. This will stop t...

Re: Elfords big brother
I'm running my engine with a Carter AFB carb... As far as I understand vacuum advance only works for part throttle. The timing is advanced at high vacuum conditions so I guess it wouldn't make a big , if any, difference if I disconnect the vacuum advance pods. I guess it's unlikely to find a t...

Re: Elfords big brother
Since my RX7 will finally have its new paint in about 3 weeks (thanks to my amazingly fast coachbuilder who needed 11 months to fix the rusty underside of my doors  ) I'm thinking about what I will need to do to get it running again. I've had small problems with the fuel pump and the fuel pres...

Re: Mach green Series 1
I really wonder what the hell makes that company think the green RX7 is worth 68000€...
I mean it's a nice car in a rare color but nobody pays that much for a RX7.

Re: Elfords big brother
I was a bit bored today so I got out my X-Box and tried to build a RX7 with what I think what could have been the original color sheme of my car judging by the old paint.

What do you think? Should I paint the car that way?

Just a short update: The wheels arrived today. No scratches at all. I just need to polish.

Re: Elfords big brother
Some interesting news: I removed the bumpers and side skirts today together with a friend who is going to remove the rust. What we found was this: http://www.imagevital.com/i/upload/NotUser/IMG-20151130-WA0010.jpg http://www.imagevital.com/i/upload/NotUser/IMG-20151130-WA0014.jpg http://www.imagevit...

Re: Elfords big brother
I've got a new question here! I've allready owned a S4 Turbo II so it didn't surprise me that the water temperature gauge of my RX7 never went past the first quarter of the gauge but just to be sure I wanted to ask if anything could be wrong with the temperature. I've never seen an other S1 RX...

Re: Elfords big brother
Smoked glass doesn't fit old cars in my opinion. I need something like the old vdo gauges.
