12A engine transplant

Alas, my Fb needs an engine transplant, oil control ring failure? Luckily I have a backup engine with ported exhaust openings. And for those of you who have neither a pickup truck or an estate to transport your 12A, let me tell you that it is indeed possible to put it in the back seat of your daily ...

Rx7 Video Review

Pandemic spare time led me to making this video review of my car. I really could have used a camera and sound man but this is unfortunately a solo effort with all the compromises that entails.

Re: My Fb on track at Mosport

The turbo definitely helps when keeping up with modern cars on the track but I have to watch the substandard oem brakes! Don't remember if I've posted this image of the car before but it does show well.

My Fb on track at Mosport

Mosport is Canada's oldest continuously operating track about an hour outside of Toronto. Home of legendary Can-Am battles, Fangio has raced there and so has Moss in 1961. We were there to watch the annual IMSA race with which Mazda and the Fb have a long history and also to celebrate Mazda's 50th y...

Re: My 1985 Fb at high speed

Traxnada, Please reread the previous posts. The car was not driven but manually pushed by me at a very slow velocity to minimize camera shake. Camera has on board sensor stabilization to offset small amplitude shaking so car image remains sharp. I am however guilty of a little dramatic exaggeration....

Re: My 1985 Fb at high speed

Chud, did you see my Dropbox link image?

I had the camera attached to a custom rig secured with suction cups to the hood. Exposures were in excess of 10 seconds and I was pushing the car on my hands and knees at a baby's crawl to create the illusion of speed and perfect car focus.

Re: My 1985 Fb at high speed

Thanks guys! The colour is V9 custom silver which I think may have been a 1985 only colour and not certain if it was available outside of North America.
