12a or 13b Lightweight NA Flywheel

Post by rotarypower » Thu Apr 23, 2020 1:03 am

As per the description looking for a lightweight flywheel for either an NA 13b or 12a.
Doesn't even have to be super light, I just need the flywheel that doesn't have the counterweight built into it.

Anyone got one looking for a new owner?

Cheers
Rich

Seems that way, although T2 gearboxes don't seem all that common either.
And then I need a custom drivehaft as well.

Nothings cheap with these cars!

Very true, I do know of a t2 box for sale if you decide to go that route, my prop cost me £120 so not too bad.

TII boxes are a twat to mount as well plus the shifter position needs altering to do it properly

Where is the shifter location in relation to ours, forward or back?
I thought it was the same as the NA gearboxes and in the same place?

Every time I think I know something I get corrected!

The TII box is a bit longer so to get the shifter in the right place you can use the S3 shifter rod and shorten it 30mm to bring the lever up in the right place... some people just leave it and hack some out of the tunnel but that's a bodge.
Se about halfway down this page on my thread for details of how to modify the box to get the shifter in the right place...
