Looks Very Good.
It was for sale last year, same seller. Pensioner....see bottom of this page in Spotters Corner (May 2012):

Engine Bay looks superb. Car should be very good with that level of care. Usual body checks still required though or good set of pics of back arch insides / rear sills.

Re: The latest 1st gen RX7 sightings...
He's just relieved when someone with an early car turns up so he doesn't have to give himself the trophy.ian65 wrote:it's a clean car but then there are other clean cars that have been up for sale and sold in recent times too. It's just well presented and has been knocked out by dealers who know how to sell a car. Of course, saying it's a show winner helps, the buyer isn't to know that if only 2 or 3 1st gens turn up to an event, you're chances of winning the goldfish are pretty high...... even more so if you happen to be a mate of the club president, trophies aplenty then.
A tidy 1st gen but worth 5 grand? Never in a million years.
Back in the UK for the summer, maybe longer......

Looks to be a good car.Carbonfootprintchris wrote:Any thoughts on the white one just put up on eBay under classics?
Do zoom zoom on it & you'll see rust on both front wings where they meet the spoiler.
Looks to be rust starting on the inner lip of rear arches & traces of minor rust on lip of rear valence.
Still looks a hell of a lot better than most 4 sale.

Sellers description:
Mazda RX7 Sports coupe in very good unrestored condition. These cars in good condition are becoming increasingly rare. This car has only covered 66636 miles since new and has a full service history. The car was laid up,unused for several years before recommissioning in 2011 when new rotor tips were fitted..
Drives extremely well for a car 28 years old. The car benefits from a steel flip up or remove sun roof, flip up head lights, alloy wheels, electric windows, fully adjustable seats with recline, disc brakes at front, rev counter, oil pressure and temperature gauges which all work. New front tyres fitted last year. New radio/C.D. player installed last year. ( The original radio is available but does not work).
I am selling this much loved car as at nearly 70 years old I cannot continue to enjoy driving it to its full potential.

Looks really good. But I always wonder what the underneath is like for fb's
especially in those notorious areas rather than shiny exterior panels.
the engine bay looks very tidy so a good sign that the rear sway bar plates etc are all in good nick.
i see a little rust coming in on the front cowl though. but looks a nice genuine car, do me lol.

Another parts car by the looks...
Cheap though if the engine is good, but might not remain that way - few bids on already and only been up 10hours? Anyone from here?

Look at this on eBay:
1983 Mazda RX7 13B, barn find, runs & drives, no MOT, RX-7, good rotary engine

how come any old wreck on ebay is now a 'barn find' ? I bet half these cars have never seen a barn.

Those arches!
Yeah, just putting a jaunty twig and leaves in the headlight doesn't add authenticity to the "barn find" status
