Luckily dreams are free!
well i remember when they were finishing the rx7 fd, they were ending their rotary run. until they got petitioned to not do so, then they brought out the rx8 :)

maybe they'll bring back the fb, if we all email them or even make a few shells as rust the big problem ;)

Hi All,

Sorry for not replying recently but I have had nothing to report until now.

Finally got the paperwork from the previous owner (my fault for saying no rush)

As a bonus It came with a load of old mots and the original Mazda service book. Its fully stamped up and was last serviced at 39,000 miles. It has now done 40,900. Shame that last service was in 1992

I would just like to point out I gave it an oil change as it came out the barn. :D

I am really not sure what to do with it now. If I can find a buyer who will restore it, and look after it, I might well let it go. I have too many cars to look after.

Thanks

There's been requests for knowledge of stainless systems on here from all over the place......including Europe.
I'm running an old Double 'S' stainless front system from a scrapper together with a rusty Mazda back box.

I'm on a wing and a prayer with them.
Thanks to Keith I have a spare Mazda backbox but if I hit anything the exhaust bits presently on the car will be all over the road.
Dave,

You can still get RX7 systems from Double 'S'.

It might dent your pension a bit tho.............!

that's a lot of dough......I remember back in the 80's, a new factory exhaust minus the reactor from Mazda was £700 which is why lots of people went to the cheaper Janspeed or double S systems....
Possibly worth buying if it's a keep forever car like Gus or A7RXY but otherwise, not for me.... especially when most of the breaker cars seem to be fitted with them and they clean up ok.

And there seems to be a lot of bespoke stainless exhaust 'make & fit' services springing up. At least one in every big town.

Posted off the v5 today so with a bit of luck it will be in my name in the next couple of weeks.

Where do you think the best place to advertise the car would be?

Still not sure what its worth but at least now i have the service history to back the mileage up.

Thanks

if you have a price in mind, then Car and Classic and you'll get the more serious classic buyer.

If you don't know what you want for it, put it on ebay..... you'll have to deal with the usual ebay cretins and messers but the car should find it's own level.

Hi All

I have now listed the car on ebay, we shall see what happens.

I hope it goes to a good home.

Thanks for all the help.
