Well done on the car mate, looks really good and must be great to be almost back behind the wheel.

Re: Not another barn find..... but almost
Looks great Ian, and with body stored out of the elements all those years it will hopefully be in good shape to preserve for many many years to come.

Re: Not another barn find..... but almost
nice one ian, looks a really nice example. what we'd all like to find really.
but like you say these 'barn' finds don't just need a battery and fuel put in and start up right away, a lot of investigation
is needed to check the parts that seize up due to a car sitting about for such a long time.
however its the body, chassis that if in good order you will not mind replacing, engines, clutch and brake components etc.
luckily you had a lot of spares that you could bolt on and get the car going again, it has all worked out, better in the end really
did you take any pics of the underneath before starting, as i take it you'll be wax oiling her and sticking grease or equivalent into chassis
inner panels etc, to keep the rust monster away?
silver is a great colour in an fb too, i always like the series 3 with the wheels/side mouldings.
very pleased for you

it's coming out Dibs, probably not straight away as I just want to get the car on the road but it is coming out.A7RXY wrote:Ian, are you going to leave the interior wine or do you intend to change it.
