Well done Ian having followed your last project, To end like it did would have put me off. But this latest find makes it all worth while. Your story highlights what work is involved in commissioning a car to go back on the road, all the best enjoy.

Dumped the horrible red interior and fitted some FC leather seats....

looks much nicer now.

Grey colour is my favorite too, but the Red interior Shows much better quality so i could See on your picture.
Mazda always produced longhair carpet equal what colour i don't like them. CLEANING These carpets are allways horrible for me, so i change to a special Black short floor carpet with clue out of a Camping car. The bigger elford rear wing only looking good on wide body rx7.

Grey gets my vote - though the work to achieve it would probably see me sticking with red if I was in the same sitcho

FC seats step things up a notch in comfort and hip hugging-ness as well!!

the grey suits the silver better yes. the fc seats look good, did they need much modification to fit?

no, they bolt straight in using the fb seat rails... just one bolt out of the 8 didn't line up with a captive in the seat frame and had to be re-drilled and a nut fitted to it.

that was handy, enough head room too. i think rx8 seats would not fit though, drivers too heavy with the electrics.
know some fb/fc owners thinking of converting to them.

I have the Rx8 seats I mine, fit nicely but they are manually adjustable ones. Definitely not straight bolt in, though... I was lucky enough to pick up some that had been already modified for the FC so just had to drill one bolt hole. Judging by the elaborate brackets they would a right PITA to fabricate but can be done .

anyone know which lines go to what on these T2 coolers? The oil pipe off the front engine cover goes to which union on the cooler?

Top connection (bottom in your pic) goes to the front cover.

Side connection to the block.
