Thanks guys
Haven´t been able to play around Mazda lately as my days at work has been at least 10 hour long for past 4 months. Car just needs new battery & oil to be ready for MOT and road use. Maybe another coat of polish too

Haven´t really updated here for ages, sorry for my absence, but here we go again.
I came to conclusion that motor mounts are in such shape in my car that they need immediate replacing, as motor shaked a lot and idle didn´t work at all. What kind of motor mounts do you recommend for these cars? I came across to billet ones on eBay, has anyone tried these? Price isn´t too bad at least

Then there´s Mazdatrix mounts too, didn´t see much of price different between OEM and race version. I´m hoping to get car back to running condition for spring again, only thing holding me down is that I become student again from January, but I need to figure out more creative solutions for car.

I find it one of the best waxes you can find, durable, great result and cheap too. Idea is to do it just as Mr Miyagi says, wax on, wax immediately off. If it bakes on its like superglue on panel. At least in Finland they call this product "sweat Simon" but I haven´t had bad experiences with it.

i noticed that too, you need to buff it off as soon as you put it on as you dare not let it dry.
do you use a micro fibre cloth to buff it off and a sponge of linen cloth to apply?

it's good stuff ok, but as i have a car polisher, i tend to use it more than hand polishing.
works a treat though, just need to move up and down and not stay too long in the one place
and burn the paint.

but red paint needs protection from uv rays, so it doesn't go pink

I use sponge on applying any wax, as with polishing It´s half of the time microfibre cloth and half time old time polishing cloth, softest to find. Polishing cloth works bit better as microfibre can "shut down" easily, but to avoid that I usually spray few pushes of quick detailer to microfibre cloth when starting to polish. I bought myself decent polishing machine on last autumn too. And after that people have asked me to detail more and more cars. This Calibra I did for a friend of mine has been best of my works so far. Pictures doesn´t show that but bonnet was completely matte at beginning.

yes you cannot beat a polishing machine for large jobs.
i use the micro fibre cloth to lift the polish and buff with a soft cloth too.

however i clay barred my rx8 with detailer spray, lifts all the crap you pick up while drying.
then i polish and it is so much better, makes the job easier too.

keeping cars nice and shiney is the harder job, but removing surface grime first with a clay bar
then polishing, means its just a case of washing and then drying with micro fibre cloth to remove
any water stains if you have hard tap water.

looks like you have yourself a nice little side business then, but detailing is hard work, yet rewarding
when you see your end product a nice shiney coloured car.

i'm off to bed as its nearly 2:00 am, goodnight.

Yes, clay is definetly your best friend while detailing. No good results can be done without it. It was my plan b to start detailing business, but my plan a become reality as I was accepted to university, so I´m doing this on the side. Well it is almost 4:00 and I´m still up, it is going to be long day tommorrow
