FB front end options

Post by chris96fd »

I am in the middle of an rx3 restoration and need some advice, I am looking to lower the front of the car, at the same time upgrading the brakes and changing from the current 4 x 110pcd to 4 x 114.3. Ideally I would like to fit FC front discs and calipers.
1 option is to fit FB front struts which lowers the front nicely although I am unsure what version is my best option.

Any suggestions or advice appreciated

Swapping the entire FC IFS the right way wasn't that difficult nor costly, nor was big-braking it with 11.75" x 1.26" rotors and used 4-piston Brembos, to fit inside cheap 15x7 wheels. I haven't driven it yet, but I'd do it again. It sure allows bigger brakes than the best I could manage before the FC crossmember and stuff. Plus the FB is rear-steer, recirculating ball, FC is far superior front steer, rack / pinion.
I could fit 14.4" rotors if 19" wheels were part of the plan. 7.5" wheel width would be an easy fit, 8s should be possible.
