Great pics as always mate :)

Shame I wasn't man enough to brave the weather, looks like it was still a good turnout. There's always next year, maybe I won't be in such a rush to finish the car in time either...nah, who am I kidding

Great pics Nik, I don't feel robbed now as we did the pits/watched the Hill climb with the intention of walking the field after having one of my 5 a day (onions surrounded by a big fat cheese burger) but the monsoon season started early & then what with having to collect fees from all those under the Gezebo 8-) never had chance to see the other cars. Thanks for the tour without getting wet 0-0

Great coverage as usual Lucky - where do you find the time?

I take them as I walk around; it barely takes any more time :D

Nik,

Great write up and photo's, as always.

Thank you for your kind words on my Elford, It is interesting how others see your car, especially as all I see is the bits that need some tlc.

Good to (kinda) met you, I was a little too damp to stay around, maybe next time ?

The MKIV estate was a rare thing too. Ford UK couldn't justify the tooling expense for such a small production run so the conversion was carried out by E.D.Abbott Ltd of Farnham. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbott_Coachbuilders

I think the dark blue VW thingy is a Derby (Polo with a Boot) :geek:
So in teacher speak Derby is to Polo what Jetta is to Golf

What a marvellous depiction of Engineering and Colour for those (such as myself) who were unable to attend this years gathering of the ultimate driving machine.
I obviously missed a great day (despite the inclement weather conditions) and must congratulate those of you who made the effort to participate and thanks specifically to those whom have contributed to this display and have brought this event to life
