Yeah maybe the speedo was/is a replacement - this has been known to happen from time to time.
When I had the GT the speedo was MPH so I've no reason to disbelieve its' authenticity (hell that's a big word so early in the morning).
Yellow GT
Re: Yellow GT
From the photos, the body basically appears to be in reasonable condition (but we all know how pics look far better than the real thing) other than the n/s door, front bumper and perhaps the n/s front outer sill and the tired paint that is.
Nevertheless I do like it and if the body is as good as it is implied, then it would be a fantastic start to restore a Savana to its' former glory. If I had a place like our Kieth's pad then I'd have more than a punt at it - but I'd change the colour for sure to something like ............. I don't know ..... perhaps the interior colour of 'Goldie'

I sure hope so otherwise does the high bidder know something we don't ?
There was a series 3 which sold for around £2700 the other week - that was a far better buy IMO oh, and I still don't believe the 'mileage' for this car
