Black Elford Turbo
Re: Black Elford Turbo
hi kev, what can i say? where exactly is the car. and who on earth recomended him?
Re: Black Elford Turbo
Oh dear - what a dilema .........
As others have suggested ...... you need to get it out of there somehow. You have to give him you intention in writing to take your vehicle away on a date to suit you - say 28 days (give a date) and agree a price you'll pay to release your property. You then need to turn up with a trailer or other mode of transport to collect it on your stated date - if he refuses, you'll need to employ the services of a solicitor, he/she can compile a letter to him which hopefully will be sufficient to get things moving, either way
for an early conclusion

Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I have just got back from holiday so will get over to his workshop to see if I can track him down. I will keep you informed

Re: Black Elford Turbo
By coincidence he has just contacted me from his hospital bed where he has been for over 3 weeks. He is still in there and I am not sure what is wrong with him or when he will be out. I have messaged him to get an update.Threesevens wrote:Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I have just got back from holiday so will get over to his workshop to see if I can track him down. I thought he was either ill, dead or just done a runner so it is probably the best of those scenarios.
He tells me the car has now been primered and just needs final paint and reassembly
Because he is a sole trader and where the car is stuck in his workshop it would take a huge effort to liberate the car without his assistance. If he doesn't recover or dies, what a mess!!!
WTF
Happy new year to you all

Re: Black Elford Turbo
You must now take advantage of this, go down with the recovery chap & his mate(s) having explained the situation, offer a bonus on top(for when it is back in your possession).
Phone the Hospital , as a fake relative, just to make sure he is inside & try & get a prognosis, if he croaks & owes money
then it will open a whole new can of worms for you,
regards Pete

I know it soundz really sneaky in doing this but you have take this 'as a gift horse', I concur if the worse case scenario does happen (and as you don't know his actual condition) you could end up with your Rex being impounded for some time before retrieving it -

Re: Black Elford Turbo
Since his text on 28th December I have rang him everyday on both his numbers and sent him texts. I have sent him messages on Whatsapp and I can see he has not looked at them. This concerns me as i reckon he is either still in hospital, or dead. The later would be disastrous because I would have a real problem recovering my vehicle.Hobbawobba wrote:I hope to see a post from you sooner rather than later saying how you have the car back in your posession!
