Removing this felt VERY strange for some reason . It occurred to me quite suddenly I don't need it anymore hahah. I have a toggle switch I'll probably install in its place - just need to figure what the switch will be used for

It does! I always held it out completely as I started and then adjusted it to wherever I felt whilst warming up haha.

I've had some idler arm bushes sat around for a LONG time. Figured now is a good time to install them . Gave it a fresh coat of paint also.



I've got to weld some simple brackets onto the car for my intercooler to mount on. I'll try get that done during the week if the weather is decent. Then will likely install the new engine!

Exciting stuff! It's been great seeing all this progress.

Is that an OEM choke knob? It looks completely different to ours. We had a round knob instead of a T bar.

Weather has been a bit rubbish again lately. But in between constant showers I've managed to get intercooler brackets made up and painted! It fits quite nicely in there - but will wait til the paint cures before bolting on permanently and getting you guys some pics . I'm hoping for the engine install next week!



I also managed to get my compressor housing and fuel rail shot blasted. Pretty pleased with how they have cleaned up! It's like it has been sprayed silver . The turbo wasn't bad at all to begin with though. A few blotches on the machined surface which I'll probably sort out before it gets installed. Will be more of this to come

Starting to take shape.....once you get the Keg in you will have passed a big hurdle...the weather will be warmer ...& with the light evenings she will be done before you know it. Much easier cleaning/painting parts whilst on the bench...looking forward to seeing her at RR
