Slow but steady progress. Had a problem with the gearbox, leaking oil between the casings. Gasket sealing has become hard as rock and was no longer able to hold the oil in.
Sounds very good, quite differend than the original one. More bass tone! Got it running now on pre-mix ( bit to much oil, i guess ) from a small tank i made up from an old spraygun, gravity fed. The OMP still has to kick in from the separate oil tank i installed.

Can you post a sound vid? I've heard the new exhaust design will have another sound!
I've got my spare Nikki carb in a similar dismantled state and an in process of cleaning everything up - what a job that is!
Danny (or anyone else that knows!) how do these "venturi" (or whatever they are called come off? I have removed the jets, but the ringed parts seem attached in a way I can't fathom. Are there screws buried deep in where the jets came out or am I missing something?

Hi Casey, these parts can just pop-out. Some WD40 aroud them and a wiggle will do the trick. They can be a little corroded and therefor stuck in the body. Don't try to force them too much.
