Behold the shiny thing

And T4 manifold with no-brand 50mm wastgegate:

With the benefit of hindsight I can tell you that when fitting a turbo kit for an FD onto what essentially is (clearance wise) and FC the turbo will sit too close to the manifold as per the photos below - you might be able to just see that the exhaust housing is actually touching the FC LIM.

I obtained some laser cut spacers to push the tubo out, but this pushed the wastegate into the subframe so a small 'adjustment' needed to be made to clear it, but once the turbo and manifold were sitting happily, the downpipe which is designed to run past the tucked in FD LIM (Slimmer) was now fouling on the water/emissions bosses of the FC LIM. This required full inlet manifold removal for more 'massaging'.

Importantly though - the turbo outlet is V-Band which is pressed together under force by the Vband clamp - the rear side of the circle is angled so the tighter the clamp the more the force acting on the faces of the seal.
So, I have now assembled some bits that will help me rebuild it back to where I should be - these are:
Longer Exhaust manifold studs - 60mm: Only 5mm longer but just enough to get full coverage of the nut once the spacers are fitted
Core plugs to block the inlet manifold waterways
Silicone hoses for new turbo location
New Exhaust manifold gasket as I am going from T3 to T4 turbo flange.
And most important of all.....a Timbo who is arriving on Sunday in the Golden Nev - if we dont manage to get distracted by alcohol too early we should have a chance of getting mine running and his tuned a little better on the microtech with another weapon I have - the Microtech laptop adaptor:

Let the fun begin!
