Re: Black Elford Turbo
I am going to try the police one more time. For some reason they seem reluctant to go to his premises to get my parts back

Have you got a location yet? I'm sure with some serious googling, it should be able to find the place!

Re: Black Elford Turbo
I have some potential good news.
The police have advised me that the wanker is going to bring a van load of parts to Grays Police station next Saturday.
He is also bringing the parts for at least 2 other owners that he has put through similar agonies as myself
I have had an indicative quote of £10k to put the car back together not including the mechanicals.
Is it worth it?

Re: Black Elford Turbo
Hopefully you get a lot of it back then! What does this 10k actually include? That seems like a lot to me as I'm picturing just putting the car back together

Re: Black Elford Turbo
£10k sounds a awful lot, if just "bolting everything" together.
You could buy a decent runner for not much more and keep the spares you need from the recovered parts and sell the rest?

Re: Black Elford Turbo
I went to Grays police station to pick up the missing parts yesterday.
There were 3 other owners there in the same situation. One of the owners has been deprived of his car for more than 12 years.
So I got loads of my parts back but I have no idea if everything has been returned, and will only be able to work that out as the car is put back together.
One thing that is missing is the complete rear hatch glass and wiper motor. Does anyone have a spare?
The police rang him and he said that he didn't have it and was trying to blame the recovery firm!
The worst thing is that the police will not be charging him so he will be free to carry on ripping people off in the future.
Please let me know if any of you have a spare rear hatch.
