I really can't see these o-rings closing the gap...unless I have no o-rings in there now, and the 2 inserts that are already fitted should remain? Can't see that being right???
The beehive should bolt down straight onto the rear plate. Orings go on there. Can you separate the pedestal from the beehive itself? If so, that must be where the other 2 orings go.
I gave a spare to KiwiDave so don't have one here to look at. Going from memory. Soz.
I guess the inserts are the existing o-rings - but they are quite thick, and have a conical shape in the centre, they look more like machined parts than squashed o-rings...I didn't fully remove the beehive, just lifted it enough to gain access, but I couldn't see any o-rings the top part, only these parts that were in the bottom section...
I have been out and bought a 23mm spanner, so I'll have a better look later
What's the beehive made from, alloy or steel? If you don't be wanting it, and it's alloy, Mr Tool sir, the thought occurs mine would look a lot nicer as a polished one than a manky peeling-off-paint-and-transfer one like it currently is... You need to clear out your lockup a bit anyway

You can have it but you have to come collect it.

Marc, are you at the workshop Tuesday or Wednesday? If so, I could come over and take a look. I got 4 O rings as well but only used two. I assume that the other two would be used if you completely dissassembled the cooler, ie the nuts that mazda say 'do not loosen'.
If the old o rings are anything like mine were, they won't resemble anything. Mine were completely flat and took a bit of removing, breaking into pieces as I did so.
