Sticking with mazda’s, I stumbled across something else that was a bit unique and i expected to see more of, this was an original sa22c first gen RX-7. It was completely immaculate and spotless for a car thats well over 25 years old now!

Went to Shoreham Airport last night for the weekly Tuning Society meet...and Vyv was very well received - one guy said he had never seen one in the flesh!

I had given the engine bay a quick clean at the weekend, nothing too special, just wanted to lose some of the old oil that had built up from my leaking oil cooler and OMP...and I was happy to see no fresh oil anywhere after the journey, and not a drop underneath...
So, that's the front end oil tight at last - just the seeping clutch slave cylinder and diff to sort out now

What's this "tuning society meet" of which you speak, Marc? Shoreham Airport's only five miles up the road from me, and I've never heard of it :?

A friend of mine has bought an RX8...and replaced his gearknob with a D1 spec one...which left his original one needing a new home :)

Today also saw some proper work...I'd had a little bit of rubbing on the first outing with the wider wheels, so I decided to take the arch lips off, and roll the rear arches. I'll re-fit the lips next weekend :)

Oooh, is that one of those lighty-uppy RX-8 gearknobs? 8-) I've actually no idea what practical use a gearknob that lights up actually is, but I'm sure they must be cooler than any other kind

Those arch rollers are excellent, I was ****ing bricks when I took one to the FD but it was so easy to use and with a bit of heat gun carefully applied I was well impressed by the result. Nice to find a tool that does exactly what it says on the tin for a change :D
