Southern California climate is pretty dry so rust is not a problem - sorry I don't have any pictures of the underside .

I did all the service work myself and kept a log. It was in the shop a couple of times(a clutch job at 102K miles).

I stand corrected, after looking at my service log, I garaged the car in 1991 and not 1988 as I stated earlier - nothing like documentation to refresh the memory.
