bought the wheels off carl haywards widebody fb which was never driven on so practicly brand new, specs r 16 x 9 et 20 with 20mm hub centric spacers & 225/40/16 tyres all roundredarrow wrote:Do you know the wheel and tyre specs for reference?
yes I had to take the spoiler off first but the bolts holding it in place were rusty & seized that I had cut them out with a dremill what a pain in the ass! the guy I bought the fb from had it since 1988 & was always garaged so I guess that helps, the flares I got from ebay & I had to cut some of the front bumper & side skirt arch.KiwiDave wrote:I will make it happen Mick. I am off work March 30 thru April 5 so hopefully sometime aeound those dates??
Did you remove the spoiler from the car first? How easy was it to get off? I need to remove mine to get at the aerial and replace it.
And I know I have some rust under the spoiler tooYours looks fairly rust free ... shows it's been well cared for in the past.
And where did the flares come from Mick? A bit of work required to get the fronts to fit with the bodykit I guess?
Is Lucky your official photographer now?
its so hard to get a proper widebody kit in the uk for it but its slowly getting to the way I want it, & I will get it resprayed in the future but next on the list is the reconditioned janspeed turbo kit that im having fitted next! according to janspeed it should push out 220bhp so with water injection, profect b boost controller, & a aem wide band it should b safe.ian65 wrote:that's looking mean..... needs to ditch the black stick on wheel arches though and put some proper flared arches on it, blended in and painted body colour....
looking good though!
will try too thanks m8myatt1972 wrote:The more pics of this the better i say, Nice car Mick
no its not but i did bid on it & I lost out to the current owner who paid £300 for it! the one I bought has been reconditioned so its like newKiwiDave wrote:I guess the Janspeed turbo came from that red car? You will be wanting this then?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-RX7-SA2 ... 461a658c9d
He wants big silly bucks for it too. You could find one with porsche style script for less now.
Sounds like a rather awesome project you've got there Mick. Keep us posted
