The yellow monster is slowly getting there.
Here's an example why the wiring system upgrade took some 30 hours more than it should have (and I found this sort of thing in more places than I could credit).
I hope no-one else finds anything like this.

It's been lomg getting this done but som update pics from early
Sensor and sensor mount in front caliper plate. and the first version of the disc inside the front hub, steel inserts in aluminium plate which proved to be totally unsuccessful!
Email to Brantz got the needed info, turns out their sensor also detects aluminium
The sensor needs 14mm or wider metal target, preferably iron.
Unfortunately no pic of final version but changed to plain steel plate with 9 holes 14mm diameter, so about 15.9mm between holes
Now works and Brantz are updating their docos to give better info.

And in case we ever roll the car

Dash as seen by driver by navigator the funny little black thing on the centre top of dash is an electronic compass.
Yes the shift knob is a bright yellow ball, much easier to use on a dark night in the middle of nowhere

Protection against floor heat for the driver Yes the doors are off yet another ed car

And to give the nav something to push on when it's one of those "oh, oh oohhh!!!" moments The grey thing is a foot switch for zeroing the intermediate distance on the trip meter

These were when I was modifying the dash. The housing over the trip meter and clock is constructed with 1mm thick ABS plastic sheet (styrene) and covered with sprayed on impact foam.
The meters sre mounted on a concertina fold aluminium bracket from the upper steel area of the original dash shell so it will collapse if ever impated.
