The 'Rust Monkeys' at the rear is a typical flaw of this model (excuse the pun but it was intended) although yours is not as bad as some of the vehicles we have seen. Once put right it would be recommended to check the chassis and front seat belt securing positions and the inner sills.
Nice work on the rear axle but can't understand why you don't like the 'pink' as it tones in with the burgundy red (only joking)
Did you pick up a hatch from a SA (Savana) model ? The hatch struts are an easy fix if you can find a good engineering shop.

ordered AEM afr kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/360538007974 last week. hope to recieve it this week.
So I can start on stripping the nikki en get it setup just right.
