Hi Sean,
A very warm welcome chap. Great work on the motors and I think the black and wheels of the first car really suits it. I am currently working on an SA, a full strip down rebuild and weld fabricate learning experience at the same time :D
The great thing about this forum is the fact there is great advice and loads of knowledge plus plenty inspiration ;)

Welcome again
Simon

Welcome buddy - I've done the same swap as you and can agree that the steering is far more direct.

I have only had the car out once to an event as its not road legal at the moment, but once we are past the cold months Ill be finishing it off.

Look forward to seeing more pictures!

Thanks agian for the welcome guys, apologies for not getting more pics up here, I'll do that as soon as I have a free moment :) I agree, the steering is a big improvement over stock, only issue I have right now is a bit of bumpsteer, but that is common to lowered FC's, so there are kits out there that I can make use of, hopefully it will eliminate it.
The wheels on the black car were standard for FC convertables in the US, not sure about overseas though. Got them for $200 a few years back, definalty not bad for a 11lb wheel (whatever that is in KG lol)
My megasqurt computer came in over the weekend, I'm excited to start putting that together (it's for the black rx7), not overly worried about assembling it as I've done some electronic work before, but tuning it should be interesting... lol

Sean, you should link up with Steve-A, he is currently putting a magesqurt together for Rexanne so you can talk resistors and capacitors to each other g-l

I realized it's been quite a while since I posted here. I'll have to start a build log on here, but for now I'll give a quick update. I've repainted my T2 FB (the black one in the pics above) back to its original Sunrise Red. After 5 years of the black I'd grown tired of it and really missed the red. I have a build thread on Rx7club here that you can check out (I plan to have my username on there changed to pandafb as well, just haven't yet ;)): http://www.rx7club.com/build-threads-29 ... re-995958/

At this point the repaint is done and the megasquirt has been assembled, but not installed. I've gotton side tracked from the car as I'm putting a new floor in the barn I use as a shop. That should be done by the end of the month then back to the cars I'm hoping.

Again, I'm hoping to start a build log on this site sometime soon, but the thread above has a lot of the details, and here are a few pics for those that are interested :)

Thanks I'm really happy with it!

Captainbizarro - yep it's me, I've been meaning to have the admin change my name to "pandafb" on rx7club for a while, but they recently made me a mod and advised waiting a few months so everyone realizes who it is...

Thanks! The wheels do match the car nicely, and they are nice and light (and cheap too lol)
