Everyone should have received an email with their stand "mirror hanger", our stand position location and some instructions for the day.

You should also have your entry "E-ticket" for site entry, which was sent when you paid for the event a while back.

You will have received a "RED GATE CAMP MAP" with your stand mirror hanger. The plan below is an expanded view of Area M5, M6, M22-M26 on that map. The MRC and RX&FB.com clubs will use area M6 (green and orange car markers). There are only 8 cars to fit on that area, so plenty of room. The layout shown is only my suggestion. On the day, another layout might seem more appropriate.

PLEASE aim to arrive no earlier than 7.30am, to allow the Events Team to set up the marquee, gazebo, refreshments gear, and mark out the stand.

JDM 2025 Stand.jpg

Points to note:
  • Refreshments (1 or 2 breakfast bacon rolls), water and soft drinks will be available. There will also be tea & coffee, but please BRING YOUR OWN MUG - only a limited supply will be available on the day. Participants are most welcome to bring cakes, etc, to share.
  • Refreshments are FREE to fully paid up RX-8 OC members, others will be required to contribute £5 to partake - still a lot cheaper then the trade vans! Cash would be good, else paypal or I can take card payments on my phone (if I have a signal!).
  • Bring your own camping chair(s) to relax in the Club Marquee, which we are welcome to use.
For those on track:
Don't forget to bring:
  • Long sleeved clothing to cover your arms and legs.
  • Helmet (or hire one on the day - limited supply, so sign-on early for these)
  • Your current, full, valid, DRIVER's LICENCE
I recommend you go to the Strawford Centre to sign on asap after you are parked up, maybe after some refreshments though. Then go to a COMPULSORY Safety Briefing session (every 20 minutes in garage near Strawford Centre, starting at 8am). Noise testing will need to be done before we convoy off the stand ~10.15 for our 10.45 session. There is a "Priority Period" for noise testing up to 9.30am, reserved for those with track sessions up to 10.30am, so best get testing done in the window 9.30-10.00, else you might be turned away if earlier.

Any questions? If not, I look forward to seeing everyone on the day :)

Sounds good, looking forward to it. Do you know if we're supposed to unload car from trailer at the stand, or take the car and trailer to the trailer field, then drive the car over to the stand?

In past years the arrangement has always been to drive with trailer to the trailer park and unload there, then drive to the stand.

See you there everyone! Looking forward to it, should be a great day with weather looking promising - warm, some sunshine and very small risk of light showers (BBC forecast)

Gwyn and I are heading to Chippenham shortly, to make it a long weekend

The RX-8 OC Events Cordinator has posted this re the Track Session:
DRIVERS , PASSENGERS FOR CLUB EXCLUSIVE TRACK SESSION AT 10 : 45
Please remember driving licence and reg no for drivers, passengers get wrist band from Strawford centre.
Bring crash helmets ( open face is best ) bring spare helmets if you have any.
Drivers and passengers must have arms and legs covered - no shorts and T-Shirts!
Remember to fit towing eyes.

GO TO SIGN ON , BRIEFING AND SOUND CHECK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
ALWAYS SAY THE BOOT IS EMPTY AND EMPTY IT BEFORE GOING ON TRACK
Boots should be emptied into the Gazebo as soon as you can on arrival

Parade to assembly times
10 am get into cars
10:10 start your engines and line up tight left behind the 4 lead cars****
We will parade slowly around the show ground and line up tight left in front of first assembly area
Please leave a gap between each car so the public can walk between the cars

Have a great time everyone
Great viewing from the bank or stands M5 and M6
Regards
Pete

Any questions just ask
****The lead car will be a luminous green RX-8, then Pete in Black RX-8 PZ, then two other RX-8's with FIRST TIME track drivers. Pete will drive the first lap slowly with those 2 cars behind (to show them the lines) and has asked other cars to pass all 3 cars as a unit (on the straights of course!) where possible.
