Not to get ahead of myself... But has anyone used Apex Rotary? They seem to be the closest to me if it needs to go for a rebuild.

Based on "variable" feedback on another rotary car forum I wouldn't use Apex.
Not sure whereabouts you are, but assuming south London (if you are close to Apex), then I'd be looking to either Carl Hayward at Newbury or Lewis at LC Rotary in Orpington - if distance is a major factor in your decision.
I'm sure others on here will have some views/recommendations.
However, lets hope low compression is not the issue and it's something simpler

Thanks Casey, Lewis in Orpington would be ideal for me - however im not giving up just yet!

I would be very surprised if your car doesn't start due to low compression..... I've owned about a dozen of these cars over the years and have never had one not start due to low compression.... even my last 2 which had been off the road for 20 years each still started ok, one of them on the front rotor only as the rear rotor was trashed and it still started and drove. My current engine has very low compression and still starts on the button.....
RX8's with low compression are a starting nightmare but these old 12a's are a different kettle of fish...... even when they're on their last legs they still fire up.
My money is on a fuel or ignition issue.
If you've got a spark then unless the timing is out, fuelling might be the issue.
When you take the plugs out, are they wet and do they smell of fuel?
Have you looked into the little windows on the sides of the carb to see if the float bowls are full of fuel?

				Hi All,
I'm going to get this fixed up at a garage, as I'm a bit lost on it now.
As a side, I'm looking at importing some wheels as I can't find any nice modgies in the UK. I'm looking at the following measurements, can anyone confirm if these should fit my S3 ok?
14" x 7"
4x114.3 PCD
Offset +38/40
Cheers!

I think you would need an offset closer to +20
+38/40 is what the factory wheels are, iirc, and they do not fill the arches
See my wheels in my thread.

Thanks, so +20 should be fine then? I was also going to go with 205/60/14, which will match existing so assume that should all fit ok without any rubbing?

The Yellow one with polished KÜWE Exip wheel
Front 205/50/15
Rear. 225/50/15 as on the picture or 205/50/15 no problem
+38 will definitly work

Sorry I'm confused now - are you saying +20 or +38/40 should be fine? (I assumed the 38/40 was front/back ?)

Let us first know what Tires size you like. You can also put the combination in a calculator
https://tiresize.com/calculator/
205/60/14
6x14 offset +42
As OEM
