I have HEL braided brake lines on my car, although I think goodrich are a little cheaper.

HEL did them very quickly though, I was impressed and would buy again, and I think will be buying at least a rear set for the track car I'm doing.

I originally sent my 6 lines (including clutch) to Hel for them to make up a kit. I don't think they ever did though. Hut as they were supposed to use it as a template - I didn't pay for them. Might be worth a try? Really good quality and quick turnaround

Could it be worth trying some sort of bed in process for the brake pads to see if that helps? Or just do a few emergency stops and see if that unsticks anything

Sadly, KIMI 3 has been sitting in the garage for longer than I would have liked. So, with it being a lovely sunny day today I took her out for a run.

All good**, but I needed some Easystart to get her going.

I'm looking forward to the better weather now to get her out and about.

**all good, apart from the driver's window doesn't operate . I suspect the usual culprit, dirty switch contacts. I'll add that to my "to do" list

Yep, the common issue of the electric window failing has happened to my driver's side.

Here is the condition of the switch innards:

They'll need a good clean up to remove over 30 years of grime! I can see a few cotton buds being sacrificed here, along with with lashings of isopropyl alcohol

I've also ordered some 30/40 amp SPDT relays to hopefully install in circuit to take the full load off the switch contacts - which are well gummed up with carbon when viewed with a magnifying glass. I think there is juuuuust room to install the 4 relays needed to convert both switches, inside the console area. It might be a bit tight though!

If it works, I'll take some photos along the way and post up details when done. I should be able to create a new loom, using the existing switch and plug, plus the two relays, to make it a "plug and play" install into the existing the 4 pin console wiring socket. That way, everything is easily reversed, should there be a need!

Once I've installed the window side, I'll see if there is room to tuck in 2 more relays to convert the passenger side.

Jesse did an awesome job of putting relays on his window switches a while back..... well worth taking a look at his thread..... I'm going to do it to mine too at some stage.

My relays and bases have arrived, so plan to do something very similar. I haven't decided where to put the relays yet, but the suggestions made by Jesse are very helpful, as there is not enough room for 4 relays under the console where the switches are positioned.

they're vitaloni californians. The place I got them is showing out of stock, but there's several places to buy, like here

They're not electric, and they're small and not a direct fit so they won't work as well as the oem aero mirrors, but easy to find and cheap enough to try.

I re used the original bolt holes and bolts in the door, and redrilled the mirror bases to get the mirrors how I wanted them, so it's easily reversible should you want to go back to stock mirrors, but I did have to faff around. At some point I'll get some countersunk allen bolts and fill over the redundant hole in the base, to neaten it all up but not got round to that yet.

A bit of cosmetic work to do - the windscreen wipers are looking very tired - removed and masked up to spray paint, but too windy today to complete that job.

- a source for replacement wiper rubbers at a very reasonable cost.

I had a sample of "bak2blak" stuff lying around. The rubbers around the windscreen wiper drive shafts was looking very grey and tired, so I gave it a try. I have to say it worked wonders, so I also used it on my side mirror plastics too, equally impressive result. Time will tell how long the effect lasts!
