No 1st gens had abs..... I think he just let ebay fill in the description for him...... UK cars didn't get a lot of the goodies that overseas models did..... like power steering, air-con, cruise control, LSD

I like the comment about getting the air con fixed! A previous S3 (first S3 after an S2) fooled me and the missus with the air con button. We kept pressing and pressing and nothing happened.
It's fooled someone else as well......

Seller is doing something interesting......he is now running an auction post on ebay in parallel to his Classified Ad

Yep he's being clever.
It's a very smart looking fb,up to £1651 with over 5 days to go,at least 6 different bidders.
I can't see any work on it apart from tailgate struts!
There's a silver fb on classic section of fleabay being broken for parts.
The owners gone to a lot of trouble posting no pics.
Ta Stu..

A car dealer who can't figure out if a car has AC or not? Oh dear

I know, sounds daft doesn't it?
But Mazda fitted that 'Air Con' switch on the S3 dash. With nothing behind it.
That will have conned quite a few people.

Well, it's been a long time coming but they've finally dropped the price of this nice series 1...... down 400 quid from £3000 to £2600 ... half the price of that green series 3 on ebay and twice as desirable.

Probably good that you put that here ... note the filepath on EBay!! You won't find it in 'Cars' or 'Classic Cars'.

Creating a little bit of interest the green S3.
13 bidders,1 day left,up to £3k now.
I bet he's set the reserve too high.
I've been rubbing me crystal ball & i'm getting a max bid of £3,450.

it's a clean car but then there are other clean cars that have been up for sale and sold in recent times too. It's just well presented and has been knocked out by dealers who know how to sell a car. Of course, saying it's a show winner helps, the buyer isn't to know that if only 2 or 3 1st gens turn up to an event, you're chances of winning the goldfish are pretty high...... even more so if you happen to be a mate of the club president, trophies aplenty then.
A tidy 1st gen but worth 5 grand? Never in a million years.

Any thoughts on the white one just put up on eBay under classics?
