There tends to be two ways of mounting the IDA, please correct me if I get this the wrong way round, but James carb is the US way method, and mine and yours Lucky are the Aussie way. My understanding is that it is linked to throttle position of US and Aus spec cars.
Could be nonsense, but that's my understanding........
I had to convert an inlet mainfold as I am using a cold air box from Aus, which has the carb the opposite way round from James version, and the shiny Aus spec mainfold I bought was too bloody tall for my car with an air box fitted
I am prepared to be corrected.......
