thinking about cutting the rubber away to reveal the black trim on the bumpers...just not sure as I don't have the trim on the doors to match, always thought it looked odd before, but I kinda miss the black line across the back

You need the complete Kit? Only the two door trim?Marc S wrote: I don't have the trim on the doors to match

Re: Vyv - my series 3
I don't have any of the trim pieces...not sure I really want them, I just think the back end looked better with the bumper as it was before I painted it last year. I did think at the time that I would leave it as is for a while and see how I felt after living with it...I don't like to rush these things
Re: Vyv - my series 3
Well, the newly painted and trimmed Vyv made it to JAE...and got a very warm reception. We were parked up on the 323F stand (of course) and quite a few people came over to see the only FB at the show

it even won an award

When I got home, I removed the rubber from the black strips on the bumper, I'm really glad I did after seeing Hobba's pics from the Heritage day out - much better

Well done to Vyv. What was the award for ... The only FB in the village?
Looks awesome Marc.

Re: Vyv - my series 3
The award was for "best non-f" - the club has many members that have moved on from owning a 323f, but still contribute to the forum and like to attend events with the club...in fact there are some meets where there are less 323Fs than other cars
I didn't think I'd get anything ,as there was some stiff competition - MPS6, a GT86 (newer one), some nice MXs...so I was well chuffed to get a trophy
As I've said before, if any other FBers want to join us at JAE, you'll be more than welcome

Re: Vyv - my series 3
Finally done a bit more to Vyv
Picked up a set of aluminium stalks and fitted them up

These are not engraved, so I made some small vinyls for them

and then fitted them to the car, along with a nice Momo Prototipo steering wheel, on long term loan from Garath

Interior is pretty much done up front now

Re: Vyv - my series 3
More info on how you did the vinyls?! They look great on the stalks.
I've been looking into restoring my faded OEM ones (along with all the switches). They factory ones were originally screen-printed. I asked a signwriter I know who does custom automotive decals and he reckons vinyl stickers "wouldn't look good". I assume he was talking about a white on black background job.
Any tips appreciated!
