Where's that then Ian?
First Reg in Scotland 1983 and it's Series 2, but is it still up there? Unlicensed since sometime in 2008.

Saw one of the sadder sights I've ever seen today
One, I suspect, for Dave to alter on his database from "status unknown" to "horribly murdered through neglect"

Dave? B246 AUD? She's a goner, mate. Worst thing of all?

Yeah, she is (or was) an Elford
She had clearly been parked up and forgotten about. Sneaked through some trees into the bloke's garden to take some crafty pics
It's in the grounds of a big newish house up near Pirbright way, north of Guildford. There's loads of building work going on there but the house doesn't look like a new build (as in still being built, it seems occupied), and the car has clearly been moored here for at least a year, probably more judging by how far it's buried itself into the ground and the amount of leaves and shite built up on it.

Thing is, it looks like it was a good car before being parked, the side that's in shelter still has a good shine on it like it was waxed. It's gone now, though. Holes rusted through the roof, nearside all stove in, mould on everything, running with water inside, interior covered in mould and moss
Tragic, awful sight. Couldn't find anyone about to ask about it and didn't have pen or paper to leave a note, not that it looks like anything is worth trying to save. However, if anyone has any interest I can try and get hold of the owner, see if they want rid of it. Would have been nice to at least see what state it's in under the bonnet, though if the outside's anything to go by I suspect it's FUBAR

it would be worth buying if only for the Elford setup.... even the Elford badge off the rear panel are like rocking horse sh*t to get hold of.

Oh dear
Shame there wasn't a barn to accompany your find there Nik. And I suppose it would be inappropriate to use the term 'patina' in this case?
