The last couple of weeks has seen all sorts of witchcraft going on resulting in this....

Hopefully be stacked in the next few days.

Better get my s*** together then.

First task is to suss out my pipe dream V mount set up. Scored an FC radiator off of Rammo and with a bit of jigging about managed to get it to sit like this. Apologies for the quality of the pics, my phone is somewhat tired.

So good news is it fits, although I'll have to rethink the oil cooler position as it'll block too much airflow mounted where it is. With that mocked up I stripped the S2 radiator off of the intercooler and offered that up. I think my man will have to trim a couple of inches off the top to clear the alternator but won't know until the donk is back in. As you can see he will also have to turn the nearside nozzle flat so that it points rearwards towards the throttle body.

Now I know it'll fit (to a fashion) I can get the engine back in and get cracking with brackets etc. I love a good bracket. :D

is that rad / intercooler mounting setup inspired by the wheeler dealers RX7? You're not feeling the snakeskin look as well are you Chud?

Ha! Yeah I got me some neons for underneath and everything. That's cool right?

Alas no, the time I take inspiration from Mike Brewer will be the time I'd request to be placed in a padded cell. Apart from trying to reduce heatsoak from the radiator to the intercooler it shortens the pipe work considerably thus reducing turbo lag. Hopefully.

Made a cradle for the radiator tonight so that now has a home, looks a lot like yesterday but at least it now doesn't move!

Need to relocate my oil cooler now though, was hoping to utilise the framwork of the radiator and mount it at a similar angle to keep it as high as I can. Anyone know if the oil cooler will be efficient at this angle?

You can lay the oil cooler dead flat and it will be fine.

Could always make up some ducting thatll force more air through? Looks like you could drag some from the bottom end of the radiator :?: haha
