I believe electric windows were an optionon UK SA's, in saying that though none of my 3 have them. The sunroofs were an option but not a factory option, whichever Mazda franchise you purchased from would get one of those nasty Triplex ones installed, one of my shells has one too.

Back in the early 80's my mates boss had a series 1 with a factory lift out roof, very similar to the s2 & s3 factory roof panels..... I think just the hinges and latch mechanism were different..... definitely factory and not dealer fit. Didn't they become available as an option halfway through the series 1 production run?

Oh really, thats interesting. I think out of the ten or so UK cars I've ever seen have had nothing at all or a Triplex one. Looks like the one in the banner has got one too.
Learn something every day.

my series 1 had the pop up, aftermarket triplex one as well.... I remember being slightly disappointed as I'd expected the big factory roof panel that I'd seen before.

mine too had the after market Triplex - good but a lot smaller than the factory fitted but in fairness still did the job.
CHUD you too are a lucky guy - to have 3 Sa's (

I shouldn't get too jealous Cliff, only one is roadworthy.

Maybe but hopefully you have the option to make another or perhaps two other roadworthy ones in the future ?
I've got a good one now but it doesn't stop me wanting another Sa22 which despite their rawness, still has that certain something which drew us together all those years ago

Vote number two for the color choice. Is that an actual BMW paint option?
