Cheers mate yeah I've really enjoyed building it back up with the new/refurbished parts, I've etch primed then undersealed then sprayed 2 coats of 2K meteor grey on so should last a while. The seats and carpet were rat ridden so had to be chucked unfortunately, hoping to get a set of black seats and carpet off smurph but would love some red series 3 seats really but getting them is going to be hard I guess.

Well I got the good old 12a running last night albeit on open headers so very very loud!! So I'm over the moon with that little achievement! Anyway here's some much needed pics from the weekends tinkering.

Sorry about the rubbish video link! I'm better with the spanners I guess! So what's left to do now is to sort the interior out, fit the battery in the boot with 'new' Mercedes c200 battery cables and nice battery tray I've bought, fit the prop, fill the diff and gearbox up, electric rad fan, finish the braided brake and clutch lines, make a side exit exhaust system then insure it get the tracking done on the way to the mot man.
Wrong time of year to get the car on the road but I'm sure we will have some nice dry days for me to enjoy my fb on the road! Can't wait tbh as it's been nearly 2 years of owning it. Hope you all like what I'm doing, cheers

Thanks for sharing your stunning pictures! Is there any reason why you mounted the left rear spring upside down? You forget taking of the tape on the top of the diff housing after painting.

Hi mate thanks for the nice comments, to be honest I hadn't noticed the springs as they came built up from GAZ shocks, I will look into it but doubt it makes a difference, the tape will come off but can't remember if I'm missing a cap or something off it?

Evening peeps, more pics to follow but here's one after I'd finished routing the battery cable under the car and finishing off the homemade exhaust system complete with side exit, it's a bit loud but sounds great and gets rather hot quick! Really liking your work. I just checked out the website for that Monopoel tank. The stock fuel tank is 55 liters so with your nicely fitted wheel well tank at 41 liters, you'll get nice and friendly with your local gas station

Cheers mate, I know it's gonna be a bit of a pain at 12mpg or whatever it'll do! I did work out how much it'd cost to drive to the Nurburgring and back next year and it was a LOT!

They look similar to SSR RACING JILBA.
What size and offset, and tyre size also?

TBH I'm not sure I'd say there a copy of them wheels, all I know is there 15 x 7j et25 and on 185/60/15 hankook tyres, I bought them off eBay as I just loved the look of them! They are one piece wheels but look like 3 piece wheels
