Thanks for the link, some interesting items on there.

Got a few photos but not sure how to upload? Have jpg files but doesn't seem to like them. Have we moved away from using photobucket now?

I finally got some half decent photos and have started using imgur instead, so much better!

I got the panhard bar fitted this evening and everything clears through full wheel travel and articulation. After I've welded up the panhard mount which is just tacked in postition for now, the next job is to attack the shell again, remove the top link mounts now they are no longer required and cut out the old spring and shock mounts. There really isn't a lot of room for a coilover with the standard shock turret so will fabricate and fit new larger turrets capable of carrying the full load. I can then also cut off the redundant mounts for springs and top links from the axle, clean everything up and get some paint on there.

For anyone that's interested, I'm wire wheeling and sanding the whole bottom of the shell and painting with Isopon 182. It's zinc rich and quite thick making everything look a lot more presentable.

Nice work on the tri link and panhard conversion. Well proven set up in US club racing, although they have to retain the stock upper arms and use upholstery foam for the bushes to make them redundant but still in place for the rules, and I believe they have to make a bent 3rd link that mounts under the floor, not cut into the floor and use a straight link like you have. I have a copy of the revered jim susko book which was a bible for the US club racers and it detailed this modification in there.

Thanks for the comments guys. I would be interested to hear more about the book by Jim Susko, is it easy to get hold of? I have now finally completed fitting the new rear shock turrets and fabricated new fill in panels for what I had to cut out. I have drilled out all the spot weds and removed the now redundant brackets for the old watts linkage too. I spent the end of this weekend cutting out the standard spare wheel well to my new fuel cell. Conveniently it only needed the tiniest of notches to fit the four corners in, like it was meant to be! I'll try and get some more photos up soon. I'm not sure when everything will be done yet, I'm tempted to go back over the front and carry out a steering rack conversion while I'm at it although I'm itching to plumb in the new fuel systems and fire it up!

So the fuel cell is a 12 gallon Jaz Pro Sport tank. After cutting out the tub I notched our the four corners so there was around 5mm clearance all around so I avoid scratching the nice red paint! The notches are minimal and could be even less. Apart from the flange at the top and the lid itself the main body of the tank is 462mm by 422mm. I hope this helps. https://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_i ... ts_id=1873

Looking good, are you going to have a firewall between the tank and the passanger compartment though? Will you fill it through the hatch or are you going to make a filler neck?
