Hey Tim

Cool to get an update. I'm really looking forward to some progress on the Rx-3. Loving the Chrysler and the 912 looks to have a bad attitude but in a good way. Stay safe dude ... really nice to hear from you
Cheers Dave - I’m in regular contact with Jim so once this current situation has passed be good to catch up.
Look forward to it. Also, I still have not managed to catch up with Uncle Timmy at his new digs so I have a few excuses to head down your way.

Well I suppose we better start somewhere, and with all resurrections I thought we better have a proper look at what we need to do. Unfortunately her 'unwelded car' status is about to come to an end.
There is a couple of areas known to me that would need looking at.
Firstly in the engine bay, bottom of both turrets - chassis rails are fine so not much of an issue.
This will make them nice and strong for the coilover kit from Acbron thats been sat in the boot for who knows how long
There is a spot on the tail where at some point the drain holes have become blocked, I have a donor cut for this so again, no drama. Currently sat with rust inhibitor on it.
And lastly in this session of discovery, the dreaded rear sill area. This is nearside -I'll look at offside today.
That took some enthusiast prodding to unearth so it's not too bad, I'll get the fab shop to remove the sill completely though to future proof behind it and go from there. I want this car to last another 40 years or more.
Once all that is sorted we'll have to look at the paint, the fab shop I'm going to use also have a painter i think we'll go for it and give her a half decent paint job - two years of having a massive hot party whistle inches way hasn't done the inside of the bonnet much favours either.
So onwards and upwards, excited to have her back on the road.

Going to see my friendly fabricator tomorrow.
Hot and cold everytime produces rust, water consende outside the heater pipe. All Rx7 Fb I saw all over the 30 years same problem
equal what year of manufacture . But not mine
Thomas
check my side what you have to do.
Interesting stuff Thomas, I'll add it to the list.
6 years later i see you forgot to add it to your list

Great work on the underside of that bus.
Could I ask what you used as the finish on it, is it Raptor Liner or something similar?
That the effect that I'm looking for.
