So I bought some knackered SSR Longchamps I've been polishing up. Crap pic, but you get the idea...
Will post a full update shortly.

SSR Longchamps fantastic stance with lowered car. Change the door mirror and all is perfect.

Cheers guys.
I'll try and do a write-up on how I did the wheels, but it was a piece of p!ss - and now they're like mirrors!!
In essence:
- Angle grinder
- 100 grit bevel brush cleans the wheels right back and removes minor curbing
http://www.birco.co.uk/index.php?route= ... ct_id=3647
- felt disc and brown polish brings them up mirror smooth

It honestly couldn't be any easier.

Thought I'd post a few more pics...
Other little jobs I've done include making a new polished stainless tailpipe, and fitting some new filters to the ITB's as the old ones has basically fallen off!
Jobs on the 'hit-list' now are:
- Repaint jacking points and chassis rails, where I scraped them on my lane
- Try and find some Aus / NZ spec 'aero' mirrors, fit those
- Repaint the windscreen surround satin black
- Replace the rose joints on the rear trailing arms with standard bushes (too noisy!)
- Maybe try and do something about the interior
Plenty to be going on with then!

Nice to see the old girl looking well
Keep an eye on the filters on the ITBs. I had some piper cross foam filters fitted and it managed to suck so hard that it torn the top off the filter. I found it suck down on the throttle plate, which is why I'd swapped back to the classics tights as air filter, haha!
Also if you want to replace the lower arms, don't put stock ones back on

With the back end lowered this far, especially with poly bushes, the pinion angle goes too far out of line and it binds on the watts link. I found adjusting the length of those rose jointed arms made a big difference to how the rear of the car rode. Id you could make up some adjustable length arms with bushes not rose joints that would be the best situation I guess

Hi Steve,
Hope you're well mate?
Yeah, that's the plan with the rear arms, I should have been clearer: I'm looking to do standard type bushes on adjustable length arms.
Hopefully I'll be able to find something suitable with the same thread diameter to fit into the RESpeed arms; if not I'll just have to make them!
