Funny how he has owned the car for 20 years yet does not know the wheel size ............. wonder when the tyres were last changed.

Auction details for the 'white series 2 with 15" alloys' have been updated with the following comment(see below)- I didn't know leaf springs were a 'performance upgrade' that was available for Rx7s :)

"Thought I’d mention to those people that are interested, I have fitted new SPAX front springs & rear leaf springs as the Mazda ones got weak. This has made a big difference to the height look and handling"

Well he's an old guy, to be expected. I've got a drinking mate who's 2003 Focus was playing up. He pulled all the plugs and regapped to 25thou'......'Cos that's what they used to be'.

I fair shouted at him over the beer.....RTFM!.....'the plug gap on that car is about 1.1mm now'.
'What's that in thou' says he and when I said about 50 thou' he didn't believe me.........we all get past it guys. ;s;

40 thou = 1mm by the way.

This Ispwich White S3 is a new spot though.

Wonder if the successful bidder factored in the extra 20% VAT and 10% buyers premium on the hammer price -

Is it just me or does that seem like a crazy price to pay.....and for the reserve not to be met?

over the past 12 months, dealers have started buying these up and then listing them at 5,6 and 7 grand hoping to make a killing..... usually they end up dropping their price to get a sale but in the meantime, people see the ads for the cars at the inflated prices and think that's what the cars are now worth and selling for.

Prices are definitely on the rise but to make 4.5K plus it would have to be a special car for me..... I think the only car that I've seen on the market in the last 2 years that was definitely worth over 5 grand was Cliffs museum piece Elford.
