Every Test Centre should have an emissions data poster on the wall and in the bottom right hand corner is a box with that important bit of info ;)

the 12a engine in this car blew up today so that's the end of that
My plan was to run the Elford Turbo setup whilst I prepped the TII conversion but that plan has now gone.
I'm going to pull the knackered Elford engine and begin to convert the car to the 13B Turbo engine...... with that in mind, the prep of the TII engine continues...

I've got it onto the stand but need to make an adapter bracket.... I'd like one from Pineapple Racing but the shipping is too much to the UK.... still, it's ok for now....

I'm following Aarons guide to Megasquirt it so I've pulled the rats nest...

and I've taken the UIM ( upper inlet manifold) and throttle body off...

and the engine loom...

need to remove the LIM (lower inlet manifold)

When you say it "blew up", how so? Like, badly? :(

I noticed the power was down the last couple of days then yesterday it suddenly missed a couple of times then dropped onto one rotor..... fortunately I was only a couple of miles from home and managed to coax it home..... pulled the leading plugs and the front rotor is strong as...... there's hardly any compression at all on the rear rotor though..... more or less the same as it was when I first bought this car with a dead rear rotor.
The engine that blew yesterday had stood unused in another car for 20 years before I got it and had done 94,000 miles so was on it's last legs anyway, even before I put a turbo on it and basically wrung its neck.
Dean had comp tested it for me just before the RRG and the compression was very low but I was hoping to keep running it until the 13bt engine was prepped and ready to go it but the car had other ideas.
To be fair, it's the first rotary I've blown up in 28 yrs of ownership so I can't really complain about the engine..... the most annoying thing about it is that I've sold my Jaguar today so in the space of 24 hrs I've gone from having 2 great cars on the road to becoming a pedestrian. :(

This takes me back, you end up with so much crap left over.

Are you going to use the top mount intercooler or go front mount?

Will be interested to see this progress and you put your stamp on it.

Will you premix or set up an OMP?
