Well I'm surprised anyone would pay that much. I expected it to fetch around £3k. :?

My guess is that someone bought this and overpaid just by seeing what they are advertised for on other sites...maybe the Aussie prices too, and thought it would be a quick flip. It looks like a great little car, with too many stickers, but a solid car which now will not sell anywhere near the almost 10k.

Just saw this guy post up on Facebook before I go to sleep. Only 3 pictures but it does look quite clean. I mentioned this forum would be his best bet

Reg looks familiar?
Car looks tidy.
Looks like owner traded it in to a dealer.

Tell him I will give him £500

I would say that in that condition its got to be £1800 to £2000. The prices are much higher than 2 years ago and if you paid that and the engine is healthy then its a good buy. My 2 cents worth!

Yeh....I thought that then realised I use RXX on my weekly drive car .....

It's a new spot to me although I do feel I should know it.....maybe thinking of that perpetual prize winner A7 *** also red.
From DVLA it's a Jan '86 car, so quite late....normally a 'C' plate so I quess it's on a private plate now.
Important that it's confirmed that the Reg goes with car because IMHO, all else being good, that plate puts around another £500 on it.

hard to value a car from a digital photo but if's it's as clean, rust free and original as it looks I'd say 5 grand if it's marketed properly.
