It looks in great condition from the pics. If the engine is healthy and the usual trouble spots are clear of rust I think £4k+ would not be unreasonable. A few years ago I would have expected to pay between £2k and £2.5k, prices seem to be on the rise. Just my opinion.

Looks like another user has pointed out a 2k price hike in 2 months.... Hope they all go up in value at that rate :)

I'll keep an eye on the thread and see how the seller reacts....

It might be worth £4k if it was a genuine S2 that hadn't been mucked about with, its either an S3 with S2 interior (better anyway in my opinion) or there has been an axle and strut swop, either way the car is not a complete runner, bit are missing and by the owners admission there is work to do. I'm suspicious of the paint job, what does it hide ? Looks like he thinks he can make a quick buck, or it's a shed underneathe the sparkle ?

Just sayin.....

to quote the seller:

"I purchased the car about a year ago from a Lady in London who had owned and the car (and kept it in a garage) since 1997 but had stopped driving it in around 2010 and had been in her garage since, prior to that it was owned by a Shelia Dobbins from new, who also garaged the car

so garaged all it's life then....... NOT!

This was for sale in January last year on ebay and sold for £800.......it had been stood in someones garden for ages..... James went to look at it and said it was a parts car with pools of water throughout the interior and plants and moss growing out of every crevice...... here are the pics...

Seller quote: "the tester complimented how clean the underside was"

I presume this radius arm mounting point rot has been cut out and repaired then...

Another quote from the seller...

"Professionally resprayed (It was silver from factory but had lacquer peel)"

Ah, yes, the typical 1st gen 'lacquer peel'...... looks suspiciously like bulkhead rot and a front end knock to me....

Looks good now but I'd be very worried about what's under that new shiny paint...... especially as someones been fibbing about it being garaged etc.

Here's the link to when it was advertised last year...
