As Ian says, summing up....'first showed up a few months back in Bristol for £1695.00..... then appeared at a dealers for £3495.00..... by the time everyone had stopped laughing, the dealer sold it on ebay for £1900.... looks a clean car but the owner joined mrc and had some hassle with it, which still seems to be the case, reading the ad.'

I don't think the hassle is anything much. No more than you'd expect buying an old car.

And no, the S3 tanks won't fit the S2, wrong shape and pipe connections are different.

Interior colour scheme is standard for Renaissance S2.....we had one....WWA 535Y.....originally PIJ 5940 from Newtownards when new. (A reverse sea crossing to England and a Re - Reg in 1983).

lot of money for those problems too, its the fuel cutting out which is a pain.
you spend all that money to start replacing hard to get parts, i doubt she'll go
for that price.

i really think white, black, yellow and savana green look amazing, oh and blue.
the mint green isn't bad either they seemed quite popular.

the red one you had ian was a nicer red, i think its getting the black door and
sill/bumper trim to balance etc to your taste. say no more about the interiors
but that red interior is mad.

the blue scrapper looked a nice car in its day, if its the original colour.

'The mint green is,nt bad either'

You,d be the only one who likes it,it's called opal green.

Red fb looks in g8 nick, problems on it seem easy to sort, fuel problem sounds like a blocked fuel filter to me as only cuts out at high revs, that'll cost a whopping £2 to sort & 15 mins labour.
Viscous fan,bin it,go leccy.
The clutch judder, could need a new clutch,or due to lack of use it's sticking or oil contamination, very spirited driving would clean that up  or take it completely down to the rivets.

Bodywork is the most important aspect of an fb,unless you wanna spend months welding, filling respraying etc.

Good. Plenty of water cannons, rubber bullets and gas will sort them out.
