The previous owner Ray relayed the same information in his ebay selling listing. Before him it was Jim....he had it from around 2008. Before that It came from Aberdeenshire where I guess the rebuild was done.

I do have a 'cold contact' email for Jim if you really are interested in the engine James. If so best to PM me.

I am kinda disappointed that he has not used "barn find" in the title ;)

I'm surprised he has put the car up for sale so soon and without addressing any of the body issues as when he collected hit he implied that he was an enthusiast and was looking to restore the body then try to see if he could make a few few quid by selling it or with a view to keeping it,

I did indeed buy the car from Jim and am a little sadden'd that i couldn't finish off what i started but Jim did seem to think the engine had being rebuilt and it did start first turn hot or cold.

But as to the garaged piffle in the advert that's just what it is sales patter as the car was stood out side which is what took it's toll on the body and underside,

there's no mention of the warped disc unless he had sourced a new one,

At the end of the day a car is worth what someone is prepared to pay on the day,

I advertised the car honestly and pointed out the body problems with close up pics maybe i was being over critical but i was brought up to be honest and up front, clearly he is just buying and selling and the ad reflects this in a pure salesman like pitch and not as an enthusiast,

I'll catch up with you in another thread when i start work on the S2000 i bought (the only reason i sold the rx7,,too many toys)

This white S1/bitza is back up for sale. I do love the look of the S1, this looks a good project. not horrendsously expensive. How much is a restored S1 these days?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-rx7-fb- ... Sw2gxYx9JG

auction ends soon. would be nice if an enthusiast buys it and we can see it get restored!

It really galls me when people fiddle E Bay auctions.

Why would you bid on a car you technically already bought ?

It stinks.
