all is revealed!
this looks a very interesting project... pity I'm out of the restoring game for the time being.... I'd have been very tempted...
Now listed on ebay again with a proper description:
TWR TURBO PROJECT.This car has been unused since approx 1993 when somebody attempted to steal it. The owner got it back and it has been stood up ever since. It will need a new ignition barrel. I have put some lube in the engine and it turns over , but have not attempted to start it. The last owner has had it for over 20 years, only one other UK owner, it was imported from Japan and is a TWR GTX. Turbo, very rare. Covered approx 96000 KMH. Air con, power steering, full pull out roof. Still has the bag to go in. It has genuine TWR all engraved in front bumper, rear bumper, rear spoiler, steering wheel and all the TWR tweaks, also the turbo 12A up rated engine. This car will require restoring, have not looked for rot underneath but all wheel arches look in unbelievably great condition. The doors and removeable roof panel will need replacing but easy to pick up on Ebay for £60.00 an item. It has a fantastic period stereo, I think this car will make a reasonably easy restore project. Any questions please contact Jason on 07505127365. IF THIS IS NOT SOLD I BREAK AS I HAVE HAD SO MANY ENQUIRIES FOR PARTS. PLEASE COME AND VIEW THE CAR BY ARRANGEMENT. MANY THANKS.
I've never seen that centre console before either.... looks like the Japs kept the best stuff for themselves.
The engines gotta be worth the asking price alone.... factory 12at.... you see that red hat and know it means business.... plus PAS on a rhd car, how often do you see that?.... plus air-con.... plus factory boost gauge....plus the signature red turbo fan.... it's loaded with goodies!
I hope we can keep tabs on this car... I'd like to see where it ends up and have a look at it sometime.

ex mrc guests car...
"Here we have my mazda RX7, first off the rotary engines 12a.,recently saved this from being scrapped as the last owner had passed away..led to believe it had been in storage for the last 8 yrs, last owner was 2000- 2011...mega history, reciepts for a new engine, servicing etc dating back to 92...so it may be..the condition off this seems to back this up. it is in outstanding condition.......i recently fitted a new radiator, had the exhaust completely refurbed proffesionaly , new brake pads, fan belt , scrapped and stonechipped the complete underside off the floor with no welding required...and refinished the wheels .i have showed this car twice , thats the standard.
A you can see from the pics shes very clean, ,no rust patches visible anywhere on the exterior or on the interior off the doors etc .And she runs like a little sweety. as smooth as.really nice..... although the engine bay could do with a tidy as its a little scabby. temp gauge isnt working for sum reason, hopin to rectify this week. brake pad warnin light is on.although new ones fitted.. .Theres a small dent on the n/s rear quarter as in pic. Also it shows in the pic she may have been covered at one time as there are a few micro blisters visible on the roof due to condesation. .nothin major.also a small chip at the top off the n/s wing edge 2mill..had a few advisories on the mot, brake pipes . play in steering. etc . but as a 30 yr these things are expected.
AS for interior a small rip at n/s door trim and a 2inch patch on drivers door trim which i have glued and colour black.not realy visible. also a small tear in leather at floor on rear seat where it joins.just wear and tear (will glue) she smells like an old car.rear boot cover still pulls out and works.although when you hit a bump it springs back.....
motd 10mths taxed 4mths"
now relisted £1000 buy it now....
seller added:
RELISTED DUE TO MY OWN IGNORANCE WITH REGARDS TO CURRENT MARKET VALUE . LOL. shame as she is a one in a million ..must go!!!!
1 in about 250 more like...

so whats the deal with the scottish car?
it looks like no one will deal via ebay, but would he take an offer, say if advertised elsewhere, ie the forums?
he has had this advertised for a while so he'd need to change his attitude a bit if he wants to sell it.
its on pistonheads for 1250 and been on the mazdarotaryclub site too.

It's a cool car. I like everything about it, but the sellers a twerp. Thinks cos he's undersealed it, etc, it's worth a fortune. He's some sort of a classic car dealer which says it all.

Fair play to him but I don't see where the grands gone to justify the new price, though as Ian says it's been reduced a little. He had his chance with me.
