it needs to have been either taxed or sorned continuously for the last 5 years and if it's been sorned for over 5 years it will need to be taxed ( so mot'd as well) and they will most likely want vosa to inspect it..... been there, done that.

So basically anything on ebay is going to be terribly overpriced. I want to get another one but I'm not paying the amount people want for them on ebay....

Hold out for a S3 if you can. Comes with better parts as standard. Or swap S3 running gear into the S2.

Decent FB's for sale in the UK now are few and far between, apart from the dreamers asking ludicrous prices.

The car for sale by Tim at RX motors looks like it has quite a few issues underneath.
The MOT history shows quite a few advisories that are repeated.
