I have a 2nd gen gearbox with a 1st gen gear selector. Does fit to an EGI engine (was on a 13b). Longer ration in 5th gear.
Not really got much left of the car really.

I'm still to be convinced that 5th is longer on uk cars as most if the info is from US sites.
However, the box is better and stronger and does have better ratios 1st to 3rd.

Definitely longer, I ran this after a standard 1st gen box and the rpm on the motorway at 70mph was about 500rpm less.
