Thread resurrection part two!

I've been trying to work up the bravery to check my windscreen pillars but I'd be grateful if anyone can offer a good technique for removing the trim panels without knackering them/the clips? I've never even seen one takne off so dunno which way to pull/twist/slide them or anything. Any help mucho apreciated. Ta

Nick, I did mine last year (I had bought some clips first but did not need them).
Having removed the small screw at the bottom:-

I slid the trim downwards about 10mm to clear the top trim
Warm the trim gently with a paint remover air gun, I believed this would stop the clips from being brittle
With a couple of small flat pieces of plastic lolly pop stick shape lift the Trim from the outside
It should then slide towards the windscreen

It worked for me, I cleaned all the crap out, polished paint & then sprayed a thin coat of chain lube inside trim before replacing

May the Force be with you g-l

Thanks for the tips, guys. I'm hoping to (finally) get the FD finished so I'll be able to risk incapacitating the FB soon

Ha removing some trim is hardly going to incapacitate a vehicle.

Well, it will do if the sodding pillars disintergrate into iron oxide powder
