nah mate, one i was gonna take a look at is in newry. but he wants £3200.
now peeps i spoke to at the car show i was at who had fbs tell me it was a minter.
hell if its anything like those aus etc ones then it'll be worth the money.
it is red like the one in kildare though. plus a guy was handing out a sales magazine and i had
been asking did the fb dudes have this guy's phone no, which they didn't. but got home that
night and flicking through the mag there was the fb ad.
then i come on here and every minter ian put on was red lol, tis a sign, as they say in monty python.

Spod,
Are you in southern or northern ireland,i only ask as i sold a white S1 1979 to a guy in Tipperary a few years ago,not seen it on any forums,so wondering if it's just rusting away somewhere?
Is there any checks i can do online to see if it's licensed etc?

i am in northern ireland, that red fb is in the south.
i dunno maybe check on line for the irish driver vehicle licensing?
i doubt it will be rusting away unless you sold it to a non enthusiast?
check out irishrotary.com and ask around, never know as might be someone
who would be able to help.

It's a problem Stu....I haven't found any sites in Ireland that tell me Yes/No a car is Taxed or Not.
I've got your old car down as one of the very few S1's running on the road, but I really don't have the detail.

Well the irish rotary forum is dead for fb's,approx 4 postings a year!
I've not found any irish sites to tell me if it's taxed or not,i suspect on importing it he's changed the license plates,so it'll be impossible to trace anyway.
Southern ireland is'nt very large you'd think someone would of noticed it around,or perhaps it's disintegrating in a back gdn some where!
Owner has'nt posted on any forums about it either,he did say he'd put progress on it up on mrc,obviously nout there too.
Oh well there's plenty S1's left

TWR TURBO PROJECT.This car has been unused since approx 1993 when somebody attempted to steal it. The owner got it back and it has been stood up ever since. It will need a new ignition barrel. I have put some lube in the engine and it turns over , but have not attempted to start it. The last owner has had it for over 20 years, only one other UK owner, it was imported from Japan and is a TWR GTX. Turbo, very rare. Covered approx 96000 KMH. Air con, power steering, full pull out roof. Still has the bag to go in. It has genuine TWR all engraved in front bumper, rear bumper, rear spoiler, steering wheel and all the TWR tweaks, also the turbo 12A up rated engine. This car will require restoring, have not looked for rot underneath but all wheel arches look in unbelievably great condition. The doors and removeable roof panel will need replacing but easy to pick up on Ebay for £60.00 an item. It has a fantastic period stereo, I think this car will make a reasonably easy restore project. I've never seen that centre console before either.... looks like the Japs kept the best stuff for themselves.
The engines gotta be worth the asking price alone.... factory 12at.... you see that red hat and know it means business.... plus PAS on a rhd car, how often do you see that?.... plus air-con.... plus factory boost gauge....plus the signature red turbo fan.... it's loaded with goodies!
I hope we can keep tabs on this car... I'd like to see where it ends up and have a look at it sometime.
