I had it noted as Renaissance Red in Scotland as recently as March (Renaissance is a peony sort of colour and is metallic).

Codge - have you any record of these two:

C999 EWA (Red)
A713 RHY (Blue/Silver?)

Can't say too much about them, but I've become aware of their existence :)

Hi Malc,

A713 RHY.....Yes. Noted as Blue S2 car. In Mendips, Somerset Aug 2014, per a report on FlickR from Ian.

C999 EWA.....No. Not on DVLA at the moment either. I can see though that unless the Reg has been changed it was a Sheffield car when new.
(WA, WB & WE suffixes were Sheffield Area in early years of reg plates). Sold from Woodseats Motors at a guess or maybe Rolletts of Rotherham.

Hope that helps
Dave

Dave, I was given duff info, the reg is:

C999 EWN

Checked on DVLA and it confirms it is a Mazda RX-7, but no MOT and doesn't look as though it's been taxed since 1996, not on SORMN either?

Hi Malc.
C999 EWN is a new spot, not seen before. Be interesting to see what news develops.

Thanks Dave 0-0

Good news, fingers crossed we may have another one back on the road soon!

I've seen some pictures of both cars now.

All I can say at this stage is that the Series 3 C reg car looks to be in good condition and the engine runs (looks like a Series 2 engine implant though). It was a totally chance find by a rotary enthusiast friend who discovered both cars stored near his home! He is keen to acquire the C reg car later this week, if he can agree a deal with the owner.

The Series 2 A reg car looks too far gone with rust, plus an extremely tatty interior, but maybe some salvagable spare parts.

More news later.

Series 1 - YVB666V
Apparently second owner. Spotted at car meet yesterday in Birchington Kent.

Has anyone seen, or know of this? Looks tidy.

Yes.......YBV was first noted way back, 2004.
If it's still the 2nd owner he bought it in 1982. Still had car in 2013, low miles at that time.
Was in Kent previously.

S1 Runners that are known about number only 10 (and that includes some preserved rally cars).
