they have estimated the RX7 and the historic cortina and escort racing cars at the same price... very silly.

It looks like the cars are all located in South Africa. Also the auction happend last weekend but damn that Honda 1300 Coupe 9 would be tempting!

A series 1 for sale by auction.
Estimated price £7000.
That looks good value compared to some of the cars we have seen on here recently

I think this is the Series 1 that I found that belonged to a little old lady near Worcester.
She refused my offer, then sold it at auction for far less.

They have added the front chin spoiler and rear wing, which I think detracts from the S1's clean design.

It was an original car and assuming they have treated the rust properly looks to be a good job.

Are you sure it's the same car James? The back story for this one is that it spent a lot of time with the dealer when new with a mystery fault. The dealer had it for so long, they fitted the body kit, a hideous red striping kit and TWR stickers all over it by way of apology.

That is how it was sold by the original owner a year or so ago. The side stripes and the TWR stickers have since been removed. I'm sure I have a pic saved somewhere. Will have a look.

I agree though, the front and rear add on's are awful.

Here you go Ta Dah! http://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=163684

Note if you will, the gold mazda decal on the rear side glass and the exide battery in the engine bay. It's the same car.

The mazda mudflaps have gone though, along with the driving lights.

Yes, 'FRA' is the red stripe car.
The Leominster car was 'ORF' Reg.

This is Pauls old car. I speak to him on a regular basis ;) . Hayward bought it a while back and sprayed that satin colour then had it up for sale VERY quickly after I believe. There were a few rust issues when Paul sold it to them which they never mentioned. Don't think it was anything too major, but could be wrong. Looks fairly decent in those pics
